The campsite is on the Snowy Mountains Hwy 63km south of Tumut on the banks of the Yarrangobilly River. There is a 'Yarrangobilly Village' sign next to the road marking the short dirt driveway into the campsite.
General Information
You can park a caravan, trailer, or a tent in this campground There are a total of 50 campsitesThis is a lovely campsite beside the river with some great gold mining history. The large flat campsite sits between the highway and the river on the river flats. There is space for caravans and lots of open areas for tents. The river adds a lovely feel to the area and helps make up for the occasional bit of traffic on the highway. There are some walking tracks and old buildings and historic stuff to explore. The caves are a short drive away and well worth a visit. Otherwise kick back and enjoy the water bubbling past.

We went their for 2 nights camping and enjoyed a lot. River water was fresh and ice-cold.

We stayed over the Easter long weekend and found it to be really good. We went to the Caves and its not too far away.
More open area sites than ones under trees, but we were lucky to have a spot by the river and some cover.

Camped here for one night in March 2013, being Alpine it was a bit fresh at night and first thing in the morning but a very pleasant spot for a rest.

i can not wait until i go on Wednesday because heard all about the cave and the thermal pool must be warm. i really want to know if there is actually bats and glow worms in the caves SO EXCITED!!!!!!
