Getting there
The campsite is accessible by all weather unsealed roads suitable for 2wd vehicles
382 km SW of Sydney
GPS: Latitude 36° 26′ 48.444"S Longitude 148° 25′ 30.468"E (-36.44679, 148.42513)
Drive alone Alipne Way towards Thredbo from Jindabyne and about 1.9km past the SkiTube is the signposted turn off for Thredbo Diggings Camping area (on your right). After turning right drive for about 500m along the dirt road to find the camping area

You can park a caravan, trailer, or a tent in this campground
There are a total of 30 campsites
The is a pleasant campsite in the Thredbo River valley, and right beside the river. Car entry fee will be higher in peak winter period ($27). Popular spot for fishing and exploring the area. There is also access to the Diggings Bullocks Track. The campsites are not marked out.

You should be aware that if you get a snowfall this low in winter the access road is dirt and when snow combines with mud it can be very slippery. There is a steep section on the access road that can be very ... interesting ... in these conditions.
