Geehi Rest Area is on the Alpine Way, about 44km North of Thredbo village. The road is windy and steep in sections and would not be suitable for people with large caravans or trailers. The driveway around the campsite is an unsealed dirt road.

You can park a caravan, trailer, or a tent in this campground There are a total of 150 campsitesThis is a very large campsite with plenty of space for roaming about, and interesting things to explore. The campsite sits on the bank of the Swampy Plain River. There are plenty of toilets scattered around (with access for people in wheelchairs). There are several stone shelters, historic huts, and walking tracks in the area. The individual campsites are not marked out, but there are plenty of spots to choose from. Vehicle entry fee will be higher during peak season (winter).
