Timber Beach Lookout Alt = 81 m
Timber Beach Lookout[1] is found at the end of a small side road, about 470m from the start of the dirt road on Snapper Point Rd. The unsignposted lookout is in the corner of the car park and looks north-east. Ironically, there is no view of Timber Beach, but good views over the top of the bay to Ghosties Beach and Flat Island[2].

Track: Hard - bushtrack
Length = 384 m Time = 9 mins
Climb = 0 m Descent = -67 m
From the north-eastern corner of the car park, this walk heads between the timber posts and follows the eroded track downhill, heading towards Flat Island[3] (the low headland to the north-east). The track leads down, following the top of the ridge and, after about 160m, turns left[4]. After a further 170m, the walk comes to a clearing[5], where it follows the track just to the left for another 60m before coming to the rocky gully behind Timber Beach[6].

Timber Beach Alt = 1 m
Timber Beach is a small, narrow and sandy beach wedged between three cliffs. The beach faces south-east and is accessed by a track from Timber Beach lookout. Access to the actual beach requires climbing down a several metre high, slippery rock wall, where the track meets the apex of the beach[7]. The small secluded beach is a lovely place to enjoy the ocean[8] and the carved rock formation[9].

The price you've got for downloading the walks is excessive. I can get the majority of this data for free off your website

Thanks for the feedback. Yes it is true that I charge a few dollars for downloading this data onto your iPhone. I also charge for the book I have published that are also based on the content of the the free stuff online. On the app I provide direct links to the website so you can still access the free content easily. I have also explained this in detail in the app information area.
On the app you get GPS support and other benefits that some people think it is worth paying the money for.
Wildwalks is a very expensive site for me to build and maintain. The app cost a lot of money to build and if I am going to continue to provide wildwalks to the community I need to ensure it pays its way.
I am planning on introducing an "all you can eat" option on the app -- so once purchased you can then download as many walks as you want for no extra charge.
I hope that helps explain my rational. If you want to chat more please email me matt (at) wildwalks.com
Mean while please download the PDF and get out out exploring these wonderful places.
Happy walking.
Matt :)
