From West Head Rd, at the 'Topham Track' signpost[1] (~5.9km north from the intersection with General San Martin Dr), the walk follows the management trail, passing around the locked gate[2]. Just beyond the gate, this walk passes a 'Topham Track' information sign[3] then continues along the management trail, descending moderately, for some time. About 500m from the gate this walk passes a old scribbly gum that has had a hard life[4]. The trail continues to wind down along the top of the ridge until ending at an unfenced rock-platform[5] with nice views through the trees to Cowan Creek[6].
