Maitland Bay Information Centre Alt = 153 m
Maitland Bay Information Centre, was once the old Maitland Store and residence[1]. The store was a influential piece of infrastructure as it acted as a meeting place for Trustees and a hub for early tourism. Today the store is still a hub for tourism but as an Information Centre open on weekends and public holidays. As well as information on the area there is also parking, a public phone and drinking water.

The walk passes two short side tracks to rocky landings on the left, which act as excellent lookouts over Maitland Bay. The walk continues down the ridge to Bullimah Outlook, marked by a plaque in the rock.

Bullimah Outlook Alt = 99 m
Bullimah Outlook is perched on the end of Bullimah Spur, overlooking a vast majority of Bouddi National Park and the southern coast. There are also great views from a rocky outcrop on the walk to the lookout. The views from the lookout are quite scenic, with Sydney's northern beaches, Lion Island and Broken Bay all revealing themselves. The lookout commemorates Charles Darcy Roberts, once a trustee of Bouddi National Park and bushwalker[2]. The memorial plaque also recognises "other bushwalkers who lost their lives in World War II"[3].

Bouddi National Park Link to official closures and fire bans page
Bouddi National Park is south east of Woy Woy and encompasses the Box Head headland. Bouddi NP has numerous secluded beaches and some great surf beaches too. The park also offers fantastic coastal walking with views out from the tall headlands over Broken Bay, Woy Woy and the South Pacific Ocean. Bouddi NP also boasts one of the first marine extensions in NSW, with a 300ha protection zone out of Maitland Bay for the marine life. The mosquitoes in Bouddi NP can be fierce so it might be an idea to pack insect repellent.

Simon - Continuing on from the lookout IP:121.216.239.xxx | 2012-11-27 22:13:07
From the lookout it is possible to continue on to the coastal track. There is an unofficial but clearly marked and obviously frequently used trail that eventually joins the coastal walk just to the North of the whale watching platform. From the Bullimah lookout, follow the arrows that have been marked (and in my experience are maintained). After about ten minutes you will arrive at the main coastal walk. I would rate this trail as 'moderate' - there is some clambering up/down rocks, but this will present no difficulty to the generally able bodied.
If you're on the coastal walk and wishing to go from there to the Bullimah lookout, the thing to look for that will 'signpost' the beginning of this trail is the large termite nest that is underneath a rock overhang on the side of the track, and about ten to fifteen metres from the whale watching platform.
